Electronic
Linguistic Resources
New needs have emerged for the modern business environment in the field of digitalisation of linguistic information and consistency in terminology for localization and internationalization. So far, most dictionaries are printed and therefore, they cannot be updated or link to other sources, while those that are electronic are often general databases that do not meet the specific requirements of their users.
As a Rhyme and Reason spin-out, RIMA builds on R&R's long-standing experience in providing translation and interpretation, with stable partnerships and successful implementation of demanding projects in dozens of countries. The company’s executives have a long experience in creating electronic dictionaries for use within the translation industry. Gradually, however, the need for the provision of electronic terminology databases as a stand-alone service grew, to provide the possibility of configuring them to ensure consistency in their linguistic sources.
At RIMA, we design electronic dictionaries tailored to our customers' needs in terms of terminology and language combinations, covering the most specific requirements of companies, researchers or translators, with code-protected access.
The dictionaries cover technical, scientific and legal topics, curated by our experienced team of linguists in cooperation with experts in each field. They are mainly addressed to translation companies, translation departments of large companies and multinational organisations, allowing them to increase their turnover, optimise their international activities and linguistic infrastructure and reduce the time spent on ensuring consistent terminology.

At Karaiskaki Street, in a neighbourhood with a special character in the centre of Patras, RIMA created a New European Bauhaus “business garden”, fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The space houses the company's activities and can be booked to host conferences and meetings.
